Dr. Hemant Rathore is the youngest doctor serving as a Head of Department at the Bombay Hospital, Mumbai. He is a renowned physician with expertise in PET/CT scans, gamma (SPECT) scans, and Nuclear Medicine Therapies for Thyroid cancer, Neuroendocrine tumors, Prostate cancer and Bone pain palliation, with area of interest in the diagnosis of neurodegenerative and movement disorders using PET and SPECT scans. He is also serving as a Palliative care specialist for terminally ill oncological and non-oncological patients. He was trained at the Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai and has delivered three consecutive international presentations in his post graduation residency at EANM Hamburg, Germany on the diagnosis of Parkinsonism using TRODAT scan in 2015, and on Lutetium PSMA therapy for castration resistant prostate cancer in 2015 at EANM Barcelona, Spain and in 2017 at RSNA Chicago, USA, for latter he was awarded with 2017 International Best Research Award at Chicago (so far the only Indian Doctor with this title in Nuclear Medicine). He has also represented India at Kazakhstan in 2014 and at UK in 2018 and spoken for hazards of nuclear radiations. He was also awarded by Governor of Rajasthan on 26th January 2020 and had also received Late Murli Deora 2018 National Award. He was awarded as Best Doctor in Nuclear Medicine in Mumbai, India by India Today in 2022 and by Outlook health in 2023. /p>
