The evolution of Basic Paediatric Services to Paediatric Super-specialities
Basic and advanced Neonatal Services available for intramural and exutero transported babies. The neonatal unit is manned round the clock by residents and equipped with state of the art monitors and experienced nurses. Ventilatory management both conventional and high frequency is now made available. Transport of babies to the hospital can be arranged with prior intimation to the neonatal unit on tel. 22067676 ext. 336.
Routine and complex paediatric problems are dealt with at any time of the day in the outpatients department and various clinics. Admissions to the hospital may be arranged through the casualty or the consultants of choice.
Manned by doctors 24 hours a day, the unit is equipped with all monitoring equipment and ventilators. Transport from other hospitals and nursing homes may be coordinated with the IPCU resident on call on 22067676 ext 336.
Available on Mon – Wed – Sat of the week, manned by an experienced set of immunization nurses, this clinic has facilities for complete vaccination of the infant and child.
All surgeries on elective or emergency basis are performed by this specialty. Extramural transfers are welcome and can be picked up by our transport team with prior arrangement. All cases have the facility for excellent post-op monitoring in the IPCU.

This specialty, newly added to the department is able to accept all cases of blood dyscrasias as well as paediatric malignancies and manage them at various levels.
Another new addition to the directorate, all children with growth disorders, thyroid issues, diabetes are targeted and managed effectively on out patient as well as indoor basis.
Already a well known faculty in Bombay Hospital, this specialty deals with retinopathy of prematurity and refractive errors in children.
An essential backup service to prevent and treat intensive care problems this faculty evaluates and treats all disabilities including respiratory, neurological, orthopaedic and any other system.
